During the Qajar era, Iran underwent significant historical, cultural, and artistic transformation. Kings, upon witnessing the contrast between Iranian and European art during their travels, began importing foreign influences. This led to a new wave of Iranian artistic expression, blending foreign elements into the traditional style, resulting in what's now known as the Iranian genre. My "Qajar " painting collection reflects a critical perspective on Iranian social culture spanning 200 years.
In contemporary times, traditional values often stand side by side with modernity, resulting in a change in their application. However, even in this modern form of life and rules, there are contradictions related to issues like women's and LGBTQ rights especially in my homeland. As a young individual, I aim to challenge these outdated beliefs and strive to bring about positive change.

Awrah

At the end, Shiva brings life and dance into our lives. She is a woman who was raised in a patriarchal society. She's been told not to see and speak about herself and always hide and feel ashamed of her body, which is called 'Awrah' in our culture.
